The Athena R&D facility is designed to generate high quality controlled data by standardizing every variable possible except the one we are testing. Our three flower rooms are identical in size, equipment, environmental capacity, irrigation setup, and cultivation practices.

The only difference between the rooms is the lighting system installed in each. This controlled layout allows Athena R&D to isolate the impact of lighting on quality yield terpene and cannabinoid expression plant morphology and overall cultivation performance.

  • Traditional high intensity discharge lighting used as a benchmark for yield morphology and resin production comparisons.

• Room 3 – Fixed Spectrum LEDs

  • Full spectrum lighting using a common industry standard that serves as our control for comparison across lighting treatments.

  • Lighting: 6 x 860 watt Matrix Dynamic LEDs
